You know your material….why don’t people remember when you speak?

When you speak, focus on the KEYPOINT of what your message is…..and bring it to your audiences attention (no matter the size) at least 3 to 5 times. You want your message and key points to be REMEMBERED…so that they come back and want to learn more from you.

Change is inevitable!

As a homeowner who took a MAJOR hit from “Super Storm Sandy” I know about CHANGE!

We lost over 13 large trees….one that was growing before the Civil War! On the up note, we are going to have a lot of sun on our in ground pool this summer. Each day we are reminded of the damage to your yard by  the huge tractor trailer marks from the wheels of the Bobcat trailers that were needed to take the fallen trees out of your yard. Oh well…..

The fact remains that CHANGE IS INEVITABLE! You have gone thru it yourself everyday since you were a child. And you adapted didn’t you? What changes have you had handle recently?

I have contracts that seem to “change” all the time. One’s that I’ve been counting on….and at last minute…they get changed! I’ve dubbed myself “The Corporate Chameleon” for a reason. Because I’ve had to adapt to change with such consistency…I’ve simply adapted to the reasons that change has happened.

LIving here on the Jersey Shore has been enjoyable and beautiful. But at what price glory?

Celebrate everyday of your life!

Image  Today is my birthday and I am celebrating all weekend!

In fact I celebrate everyday the beauty of life. We are so truly blessed in so many ways, that we forget to recognize how special we are.

Whether you are young, middle age or officially now past 60, I am still smiling and loving every breath! And that is not even an exaggeration! Steps that I have taken in life have allowed me to do this. And as a result a lot of positive things have taken place.

Not just the Boy Scout motto of “Be Prepared” but figuring out what to do and when you would like it to happen makes it even better. And of course there is no guarantee on any of that…but at least you put the pieces in place!

As the newly inducted President of National Speakers Association for New Jersey, I am cranking up the next steps on speaking and training even more thru out the country. As long as I can talk, I am employed! No need to think of retirement….which is true for most speaking professionals.

Your answering machine has an answer for your clients?

Most people are missing out on an opportunity to promote their services at the beginning of it all.
